Can I wash my wig?

Yes. When you first receive your new wig, gently pick or comb wig out thoroughly before washing it. Then wet wig completely with cold water, work shampoo in and leave in for 5 minutes. Then, rinse it out with cold water and thoroughly blot dry with a towel. Follow with conditioner; leave it in for 5 minutes, rinse and towel dry. Leave the wig on a towel or wig stand to dry over night at room temperature. Do not comb or brush your wig when it's wet! When it is completely dry, simply brush into your desired style.

If you are washing a synthetic wig use shampoo and conditioner made specifically for synthetic wigs (do not use a mild shampoo as it will cause the hair to oxidize).

Remember to:

Shampooing frequency depends on wearing frequency. Generally, a wig should be washed after every 6-8 wearings in warm climates or after every 12-15 wearings in coolers ones. However, if you're especially active, use heavy hairspray, or live in an especially humid or poor air quality climate, you should wash about once a week to remove excess perspiration and dirt.
