Can I wash my wig?

Soak your human hair wig in a mixture of mild shampoo and conditioner; use warm water only. Squeeze the shampoo/conditioner through the hair from top to bottom. Rinse with warm water. Gently blot hair with a towel. Comb wet hair from the bottom to the top using gentle downward strokes, one section at a time. Never begin combing at the top or middle and always comb down.

Important! Allow wig to dry naturally! To restyle your human hair wig, you may use a blow dryer or curling iron on a low heat setting, or you may use steam rollers.

Shampooing frequency depends on wearing frequency. Generally, a wig should be washed after every 6-8 wearings in warm climates or after every 12-15 wearings in coolers ones. However, if you're especially active, use heavy hairspray, or live in an especially humid or poor air quality climate, you should wash about once a week to remove excess perspiration and dirt.
